At 6.00pm one Sunday evening, Ingram Associates were contacted by a very worried trustee of an Oxfordshire Playing Field Trust.
Travellers had broken down the fencing and had invaded the sports ground with twenty plus caravans, their trucks, ponies and traps. They were actively using the rugby and cricket pitches as a race track for their ponies and traps, tearing up beautifully nurtured sports fields, whilst the ponies deposited their manure.
By early the next morning Ingram Associates’ team of enforcement officers had served Notices of Intended Eviction on the offending parties giving them until 10.00am the following morning to leave.
The following morning Ingram Associates’ team of enforcement officers, dog handlers and recovery vehicles arrived on site and by early afternoon that same day Ingram Associates were in control of the site. As soon as Ingram Associates were in control, using a team of dog handlers on site to prevent a re-ocurrence of the situation, the cleansing team arrived and cleared the rubbish left by the travellers and sanitised the playing fields.
