Their problem, a recreation ground, surrounded by private dwellings, had been invaded by travellers, 14 days prior to them contacting Ingram Associates.
By this time approximately 30 caravans, their traveller owners and their trucks were well ensconced on this previously pretty site and children’s playground. The local residents were living in fear of the threats against them made by the travellers and were taking it in turns to stay up all night guarding their homes and vehicles, some of which had already been vandalised.
The council had tried to negotiate the travellers’ departure themselves, but to no avail. Immediately Ingram Associates’ team were available to help and by the following day, with the assistance of the local police, the travellers were moved on to the cheers and clapping of the local residents who had gathered to witness their departure. Our team of dog handlers remained on the site until the council were able to secure the site for themselves.
